In order to allow normal users to use tomcat5 after it's emerged
chmod a+rx /opt/tomcat5/
chmod a+wrx /etc/tomcat5
chmod a+wrx /opt/tomcat5/webapps
Following that, normal CDOL deploy scripts executed as expected.
